Services Offered

 

Below are the list of Sex Education Presentations currently offered through SEXUCATION, LLC. All presentations are comprehensive and medically accurate in accordance with CA SB71. All presentations are age/maturity level appropriate. In addition, all presentations include an assortment of teaching methods.

It is optimal to provide a series of 8-10 presentations per group, yet this is not required. Presentation series generally include an introduction and culminating review presentation. The introduction presentation acts an overview of future session topics as well as a general discussion of where our sexual values and mores come from. The culminating presentation serves as a fun review of presentations chosen for the series and ends with the awarding of completion certificates for participants. All presentations are fun and interactive.

 

 


 

General Presentations

While the list of general presentations can be modified for people of all ages, there are some presentations that are not intended for young or immature audiences; please refer to the Youth Centered presentations. All presentations are comprehensive and include multiple teaching methods. Each presentation is approximately 1 to 1.5 hour's in duration.

 

Presentation Topic

Description of Presentation

Reproductive Anatomy

An overview of the female and male reproductive anatomy. This presentation can include a brief section on puberty for adolescents if requested.

Contraception

Participants receive a thorough overview of contraceptive methods. Risks, benefits, and methods of use are included. Includes condom demonstration.

Sexually Transmitted
Infections

An overview of common Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI's) including HIV/AIDS. Participants learn about transmission, symptoms, testing and treatment options associated with viral, bacterial and parasitic infections.

HIV/AIDS

Participants explore the basics of HIV/AIDS including modes of transmission, testing options, prevention methods as well as emotional impacts of the disease. Various activities are used.

Sexual Orientation/Identity

This session explores the various sexual identities and orientations including Heterosexual, Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, Transgender, Questioning, etc. Participants learn that sexual orientation is not a choice but a reality that many people face. Myths and stereotypes denounced.

Healthy Relationships

Review various types of relationships. Participants learn to identify main characteristics of a healthy relationship/friendship.

Communication Skills

Develop skills to help you communicate effectively with your partners, friends, family, etc. Learn to ask for what you want!

Sexual Responsibility

Participants will gain skills and information necessary to make a responsible and informed decision about when to become sexually active. Participants create a life line and examine how having unprotected sex can impact their lives. Pregnancy options discussed.

Hip Hop Community
and Sexuality

This presentation offers an understanding and awareness of the affects of hip hop music. Participants break down various popular hip hop lyrics to examine representations of gender, sexuality and drugs. This presentation can have a general focus on various forms of media if requested.

Sexual Myths and Facts

Explore and dispel current myths in favor of facts about sex and sexuality.

Body Image

This presentation examines the impact of body image on one's self-esteem. Participants learn to be proud of their own body image. Also discusses cultural differences as well as the influence of media on body image.

Preparing for College

This presentation attempts to prepare High School Seniors for college. Includes a student-created list of morals and values necessary to succeed in college. Addresses issues of communication, date rape, roommates of different orientations and other situations likely to arise in college.

 

* Many of the presentations described above can also be done as trainings. Trainings are more in depth and provide a historical overview of the chosen topic. Certificates are awarded to participants upon completion of training. Duration of trainings vary by topic as well as requested depth of information.

 


 

Adult-Only Presentations

While the list of general presentations can be modified for people of all ages there are some presentations that are not intended for young or immature audiences. The following presentations are meant for grown and sexy people ages 18 and older. All presentations are comprehensive and include multiple teaching methods. Each presentation is approximately 1 to 1.5 hour's in duration.

 

Presentation Topic

Description of Presentation

Pleasure Anatomy

An overview of internal and external anatomical structures associated female and male sexual pleasure. Includes discussion of lubrication and various orgasms.

Safer Sex

Uses audience generated list of sexual behaviors as the basis to discuss methods to prevent STI's and unintended pregnancy. Participants learn to properly use condoms (male/female) and dental dams. Importance of honest communication included.

Getting to Know Your Partner

Explores importance of getting to know one's partner and the obstacles involved. Participants identify ways to overcome such obstacles. The benefits of knowing one's partner in terms of safer sex and pleasure are discussed.

Sex Positivity

Designed to help people understand the continuum of sexuality and sexual behavior. Participants identify and explore sexual issues that make them uncomfortable. Discusses why folks engage and how they can do so safely. Can have a focus on sensitivity to various cultures such as LGBT.

Talking to Youth about Sex

Provides parents and other adults with tools necessary to openly and appropriately communicate with the youth and adolescents in their lives about sexual topics.

Gender 101

Provides an overview of gender. Discusses differences between biological sex, gender identity, and gender role/performance. Rejects gender binary in favor of gender continuum.

Pleasure Toys

Review of common and popular toys designed to help enhance sexual experiences and pleasure. Participants able to examine available toys. Discusses importance of using lube as well as cleaning techniques and safety concerns.

 


 

Youth Centered Presentations

While the list of general presentations can be modified for people of all ages, there are some presentations that are not intended for young or immature audiences. The following list of presentations is specifically designed for young boys and girls under the age of 13. Each presentation last approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour in duration. In addition, several of the presentations described in the general list can be modified and made suitable for pre-adolescent children.

Description of Presentation

Puberty

Provides young folks with an understanding of the physical, hormonal and emotional changes experienced with puberty. Can be presented in gender specific groups.

Hygiene

Adolescents learn to effectively handle body odor associated with pubertal and menstrual changes. Participants given opportunity to examine personal hygiene kit items such as deodorant, toothpaste, soap, body lotion, etc. Includes hygiene kit for menstruation also.

Why I Rock

This presentation includes an overview of self-esteem and positive self-image. Participants identify characteristics of healthy self-esteem and personal values. Young folks learn to be themselves and stand up to peer pressure.
